Full event details

This practical Experimental Eyewear Design workshop is a part of a Design Crafts taster session series that will give an insight into the world of design crafts and making.

A step-by-step handout about the projects and materials lists will be issued prior to the workshops and staff will discuss making techniques and processes as well as give examples and demonstrations of how they work and create.

Using paper silhouettes, cut-outs and prints students will explore a range of design compositions, images and scales to create a bespoke one-off piece of glasses.

This is an experimental stage that might lead to creating frames in a range of future materials. Eyewear might merge into masks or be a concept for stage, performance or fashion editorial.

The session will run from 10am – 11:30am but bespoke sessions can be arranged for school or college group bookings.
