Based at UCB, the two summer schools will run alongside eachother. Pupils can apply to attend either the Sports Summer School or the SHAMM (Specialist Media Hair and Makeup) Summer School.

Pupils will hear from current students, UCB Lecturers and industry experts, and will also include a talk from a local employer who will emphasise skills needed in today’s jobs market. Both summer schools will also include a cultural capital day on Saturday the 24th where pupils will be taken out of Birmingham for the day to experience a different city and new, fun experiences.

Sports Summer School: Pupils will have the chance to experience and learn more about different careers available in the sports industry such as physiotherapy, sports therapy, coaching, teaching, competing as an athlete and sports management.

SHAMM Summer School: Pupils will explore the different careers and realms of the world of hair and media makeup. Students will engage in various different interactive workshops and experiment with different media makeup skills and learn from the very best.
