What is the taster session about?

This session will explore how ideas about our future relationships with technology are shaped by society and culture, with profound consequences for our lives in the present.

Who is it for?

Aimed at Year 12 &13 A-Level students and BTEC Level 3 Year 1 & 2 students, who are interested in studying Sociology and/or Media and Cultural Studies at Lancaster University.

Schedule

11:00 – 11:15: Introductions and introduction to Lancaster University

11:15 – 11:40: Technological Futures: Sociology and MCS Taster Session

11:40 – 12:10: Student Ambassador Q&A Panel

12:10 – 12:15: Final comments and close.
