A2S is a programme of events and activities designed to give you an insight into studying at a research intensive University, and to help you develop the skills needed for higher education.

Full event details

The A2S programme consists of 3 main areas:

- Academic Insight - Content curated by academics and students to give you an understanding of studying your subject area at University.

- E-mentoring - You'll be matched with a current Southampton student, who will share their experiences, and information on a range of topics to support you on your journey to HE.

- Skills and Transition Support - We will provide a series of resources to grow your awareness of the skills need for successful university study. We hope that this will culminate in a day of on campus workshops in Easter 2021.

Students who complete the programme in full will be eligible for additional admissions consideration when they apply to Southampton, and a £1000 scholarship in their first year of study.

Students must be in Year 12 in order to participate in the programme, and meet at least one of our widening participation criteria, as listed on our A2S website.
