Participate in a session delivered in your school around controversial legal scenarios. We encourage students to solve them using their existing ‘legal’ skills.
Studying Law:
This one-hour session introduces the study of law and legal systems. It focuses on the ways in which lawyers learn to use rules in creative ways, and considers the ways in which these skills can be used to solve problems in real life and the future careers law students might consider. It looks at some controversial legal scenarios to encourage students to solve them using their existing ‘legal’ skills and compares their answers to those given by judges. This session can be tailored for students from Year 10 to Year 13.
The session will be delivered as a 1 hour mini lecture in schools on Wednesday afternoons after 12:30.
