Students will have the opportunity get a glimpse into working in the visual effects industry: blowing objects up, setting fire to objects, breaking glass, or simulating an ocean. They also have an insight into modelling, texturing, lighting or animating. In addition, students can venture into our 8 Camera Vicon Motion Capture System. Think ‘Andy Serkis and Lord of the Rings’ and see how real life people or object motions can be captured and their motion used within the visual effects industry.

Our new Explore series offers students in years 11, 12 and 13 a taste of degree level study on campus.
With many events offering the chance to experience several different workshops over the course of one day, this unique opportunity encourages students to broaden their understanding of the different courses available in each area.
