Childhood in Crisis

Childhood today is often thought to be in a state of crisis: violent video games, social media, advertising and too many exams are just some of things that are seen as leading to a loss of childhood. In this session we examine some of the assumptions behind these claims as well as looking at the evidence.
We will consider a crucial question, ‘is modern day childhood in crisis? And if so, what should we do about it?
