The Schools of History and Film, Television and Media Studies are offering a Film and History Day that will allow students to think about the use of film and other media as historical sources. In the morning you will visit the East Anglian Film Archive where you will have a tour of the archive and participate in an interactive session. This session will be taught by a film studies and history lecturer and allow you to experience how the two disciplines would approach films addressing the same historical event. In the afternoon you will get to make a history themed TV program in UEA’s fully equipped television studio, editing together interviews you have filmed in the studio with historical footage sourced from the archive.
