Development Studies: Exploiting the Environment
Resource depletion by humans is a critical issue that needs to be understood and addressed in the coming years. Whether we are talking about forests, water, fish or oil, the unsustainable use of these resources has serious implications for our future. At a time when sustainable resource use is more urgently required, why do people across the globe continue to deplete these resources? Is this irrational behaviour?
Over the course of this one day event you will participate in practical seminar activities, role-plays, games and discussions which will reveal the complex systems and incentives that motivate people's resource use.
