Our Taster Day sessions provide students with the opportunity to visit campus and find out more about course areas of interest,and take part in subject specific interactive activities. These are suitable for A-level, BTEC and Access students. Bookings can be made by schools or colleges for groups, or by individuals.

Nanomaterials

Discover nanomaterials and find out more about their applications from cancer therapy and bacteria detection to data storage and stealth jets. Nanoparticles are of great interest as they bridge the gap between atoms, molecules and bulk material. Size dependent properties such as surface plasmon resonances and superparamagnetism find application in a range of advanced technologies.
Synthesis your own nanoparticles and talk to our academics about their research.

Please note if you have already applied to the University you do not need to attend a Taster Day; you will be invited to an Applicant Experience Day.
