Full event details

The Department of English at the University of Birmingham is hosting a Sixth Form Study Afternoon from 2pm-5pm, suitable for both Y12 and Y13 students. It will concentrate on Shakespeare's King Lear, and will involve staff from the University’s Shakespeare Institute in Stratford. The afternoon will be of particular interest to those currently studying this text. The event will take the form of four 30-minute talks by individual members of the academic staff, with a concluding 30-minute question-and-answer session. There will also be an interval in which sixth-formers and teachers can talk to academics in the English department so it will also be useful for anyone planning to study English at university. The cost of the event will be £5 for students, with free attendance for teachers.
