Bring your students to our 'Higher Education Awareness Day' (HEAD) for a variety of taster sessions in this area, and discussion about studying at university. These events allow for students to get to talk to actual academics to get a real feel for the course.
Our Higher Education Awareness Days (HEAD) allow for students that are about to embark on the next step of their education to experience what university is really like. These days will include sessions focussing on the application side of going to university ranging from personal statement writing and what universities look for in an applicant to applying for student finance and what they provide. Academics will on hand to give talks and presentations into what the course involves and what successful students can move onto career wise.
Our Art and Design HEAD will allow students to see how modernised the industry is as a whole and what they can do to enter into this industry. Academics will show that there are various entry routes that can be taken to allow for access into an extremely rewarding and fast-paced career. Students from various Art and Design courses will be available during the event to answer questions about the course and university life in general.
Our Computing HEAD offers students insight into the ever developing computer market. This will demonstrate the different careers in computing that are available to students depending on their interests. Academics will be on hand to give a selection of talks on different subjects. Current students will also be available for questions and will help develop understanding of certain aspects of available courses.
Our Performance and Production HEAD allows students to see what courses are available for those with a desire to perform to a wide variety of people, this could be through Dance or simply Performing Arts. This HEAD will also show that there are courses available for those that want to enter the fast moving production industry whether this is through Film and TV production or Audio Production. Academics and current students will be available for discussions to ensure that the students leave with as much information as possible.
Our Psychology HEAD allows for students to witness how challenging and therefore rewarding a career in the Psychology industry can be. Academics will be on hand to give a talk on the course itself which will allow for the students to receive a realistic lecture and also gain the relevant information from the talk. Current students will also be available to share their opinions on the course and university in general.
As well as talks by both academics and students there will also be a chance to see the facilities that the university has to offer and the social side of university to give the students a rounded picture of what being a student is truly like.
