"Flow: For the Love of Water"- Dr James O. Jenkins
Timing: Tuesday 11th December 2012, 19.00-21.00
"Flow: For the Love of Water" explores what experts believe to be one of the most important political and environmental issues of the 21st century- "The World Water Crisis". The film presents a compelling case against the growing privatisation of the world's fresh water supply, by asking the astute question "can anyone really own water"? Dr James Jenkins will lead the discussion after the showing of this documentary film.
"As Good as it Gets" - Professor Karen J. Pine
In "As Good as it Gets" the central character Melvin Udall (Jack Nicholson) is a successful author who is racist, misogynistic, homophobic and belligerent. He has been diagnosed with obsessive compulsive order (OCD). This talk will look at the portrayal of mental illness in film- what is OCD?
