Full event details

This event is part of the SOAS outreach programme and only open to state school students.

Using a study of Ghanaian diaspora communities as an example, participants will examine the effects of Migration and Transnationalism on international integration of economics, communications, and culture.

Participants will:

Learn how to apply new theoretical concepts to class discussion and debate the importance of migrants in the receiving society.
Further develop their critical thinking, public speaking and analytical skills.
Discover what it is like to study Anthropology at University

This is a widening participation activity; priority will be given to young people under represented in higher education.
