Presenting information clearly and effectively is a key skill to get your message or opinion across and, today, presentation skills are required in almost every field.
As a student, you will be required to deliver effective presentations at university, job interviews, even applying for a loan or a grant – the skills required are the same if you are presenting to two or five hundred people.
Without good personal skills you are less likely to be able to develop a good presentation.
This 1-day course will help develop:
Public speaking and overcoming nerves.
Deliver a presentation and identify the core skills required.
Your ability to deal with and respond to audience questions.
An action plan to improve personal effectiveness.
Verbal communication - What we say and how we say it.
Non-verbal communication - What we communicate without words, body language is an example.
Listening skills - How we interpret both the verbal and non-verbal messages sent by others.
Assertiveness – Communicating our values, ideas, beliefs, opinions, needs and wants freely.
