This is a chance for prospective students and anyone interested in the art of conducting to come and see how the Academy trains postgraduate students to meet the many and varied challenges of a conducting career.
Following an introduction by Head of Conducting Sian Edwards, Academy conducting students demonstrate how they prepare scores and develop their conducting skills. The music featured will include excerpts from Copland's Appalachian Spring, Vaughan Williams's The Lark Ascending and Mozart's Divertimento in D, K.136.
