Studying Politics and International Relations

Politics is arguably the most versatile discipline in social sciences, with active cross- disciplinary connections to sociology, law, economics, history, psychology and philosophy. International Relations as the largest sub-field of Politics aim to explore the structure of the international system, the nature of the relations between state, inter-state and non-state actors at the international level, and the increasingly important processes of globalisation and global governance. One branch of International Relations is dedicated to the study of international security (issues of war and peace, life and death); another branch focuses on international political economy (issues of prosperity and poverty).
