The aim of the taster day is to present information on the content of history degree programmes at the university and give students a taste of university life.

Full event details

Students have the opportunity to take a tour of the campus while University of
Greenwich students talk about what life at university is really like. There are short talks
on the university’s degree programmes and on possible future career paths for history
graduates. In the afternoon, students have an opportunity to listen to a mock lecture on a history-related topic.

At the end of this taster day, students will:
••Be aware of the various topics and course-specific content of the university’s
history programmes
••Have experienced what it is like to be a university student for the day
••Have the opportunity to take part in a history-related lecture, with useful tips
on how to take notes and a note-taking quiz that will help with current and future
studies.
