The 2015 General Election represents a crossroads in British democracy. Will it lead to the election of another coalition or will it herald the return of 'normal' single-party government?

We will use the General Election as a theme to introduce you to the academic study of Politics and International Relations. The day will comprise a series of lectures, talks and seminars, giving you an insight into how students learn and how we teach at Royal Holloway. There will be three lectures in the morning, and in the afternoon participants will discuss issues raised in the lectures in small seminars.
