Full event details

We are delighted to invite you and your AS- and A2- Level SUBJECT students to our Electronic Engineering Subject Conference. This free conference is designed to supplement your students’ current or future studies by focusing on two areas of Electronic Engineering specialism at Liverpool Hope University.

The conference will be taking place on:
Wednesday 4th March 2015
From 2pm – 4.30pm at our Hope Park Campus, Hope Park, Liverpool, L16 9JD.
The schedule for the day is as follows:

1.30pm – 2pm Arrival at Hope. The Conference will begin promptly at 2 pm.

2pm – 2.15pm Welcome to Liverpool Hope and our Electronic Engineering Department

2.15pm – 3.15pm Robotics
Students will be introduced to the basics of programming robots
through a hands-on session using a robot simulator and robotic
buggies.

3.15pm – 4.15pm Embedded Systems
Students will have the opportunity to use development boards such as
the Arduino to develop small systems such as might form part of the
"Internet of Things" where everyday objects can communicate over the
Internet.

4.15pm – 4.30pm Closing Address and Q & A
4.30pm Depart Hope

Please note, due to the interactive nature of this session we have a maximum of 10 places available so early booking is advised.
