Science writer Marcus Chown will read from his new book What a Wonderful World, and explain the workings of the whole universe in a fun and accessible way.
If you were wondering how you can fit the whole human race into the volume of a sugar cube or why you age more slowly on lower floors of buildings than upper this is the event for you.
Astrophysicist Chown is a cosmology columnist on the New Scientist as well as publishing several science books, including Quantum Theory Cannot Hurt You and We Need To Talk About Kelvin.
Marcus will be in discussion with Brunel’s Professor of Particle Physics and e-science, Akram Khan on Wednesday 15 October, where he will read from his new book What a Wonderful World.
The University's partners at Waterstones Uxbridge will also be on hand, selling copies of Marcus’s books.
