Venue: Main Auditorium, Eastern Gateway Building
Admission: Free. Doors and bar open from 5.30pm, lectures start at 6pm.

Lisa Appignanesi OBE is a prize-winning writer, novelist and cultural commentator. A former President of English PEN and former Chair of the Freud Museum London, she is the author amongst other titles of Trials of Passion: Crimes in the Name of Love and Madness, All About Love: Anatomy of an Unruly Emotion; and Mad, Bad and Sad: A History of Women and the Mind Doctors. She has also written a life of Simone de Beauvoir, Freud’s Women and is an editor of Fifty Shades of Feminism. Her novels include the Belle Epoque thrillers, Paris Requiem and Sacred Ends. She lives in London and is a visiting professor in the medical humanities at King’s College London.

This event is free to attend, but as places are likely to be in very high demand anyone interested in attending must register in advance via the website.

A bar will be open for refreshments before and after the lectures.
