Full event details

In a society saturated with visual media, the ability to read and decode imagery is as vital to engaging with our culture as the ability to read text. This session will introduce you to theories of decoding images or semiotics in a fun and stimulating way that will help you read images more effectively and also produce more meaningful images of your own.

The session will also introduce you to the experience of the academic lecture in higher education. This session is suitable for students studying courses in media and film studies, art and design, media production and photography.
