This event opens with What to expect on an Economics course from Dr Chris Tsoukis, Senior Lecturer at Keele University.
This is followed by a session on careers in Economics from specialist Economics Careers Advisor Sophia Wu from Lancaster University Management School (LUMS). Sophia discusses what kind of doors a degree in Economics could open and some of the careers former economics graduates have gone into.
This is followed by Professor Ian Walker, also from LUMS, who gives an overview of his research into how a degree in Economics could boost your earnings.
The event closes with a 15 Minute Taster Lecture on The Economics of Covid-19 from Dr Wayne Thomas, a Senior Lecturer at Swansea University.
The live event is for post 16-students. Those aged 15 or under will have access to the event recordings which will be provided on this page as well, after the event.
Of course teachers, careers colleagues and support staff are very welcome to attend as well - for their own CPD purposes.
