This webinar is hosted by Jon Cheek, the Founder and Director of UniTasterDays. Guidance is provided for students to help them make good choices when considering university. The guest speaker for this event is Stephanie Rimmer, the Student Recruitment Assistant at Edge Hill university.

An introduction to studying business courses with Edge Hill University
This session covers the variety of reasons and benefits to consider business courses at university. One of the benefits is the business specific transferable skills you will gain as well as the opportunity to learn about creating your own business. This is explained by Stephanie who describes the different types of skills you will gain when studying a business-related course such as critical thinking, creative skills and problem solving.

She goes on to talk about the different styles of teaching you will experience, ways of gaining recognition from the industry and the practical and creative ways you are assessed on these courses.

Stephanie provides tips on how to get involved with the wider university and the range of opportunities available to you as a student such as studying abroad and professional placements. There are a variety of careers you can pursue such as forensic accountant, urban designer and data scientist with your degree and Stephanie explains what these entail and how they relate to business courses. Finally, she talks about important things you should consider when choosing your university and course.
