Charles is an Associate Dean at Salford Business School, a post he started in 2019, following eight years with Edge Hill University Business School, working as Associate Director since 2016. He has won countless teaching awards, and as well as leading ERDF funding projects, a wealth of research and consultancy, he has also supported many school and college liaison projects. Charles will provide top tips on how to get people just like him to support your own initiatives at your institution, be that at present, and encouraging academic involvement in online projects – or whilst planning future campus-based activity.
Jason Navon, co-founder and Managing Director of Clarity Comms - On the changing nature of the social media landscape in pre and post 16 students and young adults.
Jason is the co-founder and Managing Director of Clarity Comms, an ambitious, award-winning social media agency with a host of accolades, including the Gold award for 'Best Use of Content' at the CIPR PRide Midlands Awards. Jason will discuss social media platforms used by different audiences and how higher education institutions can maximise the potential these provide. Jason will introduce data indicating distinct usage groups of social media platforms based on age – for both pre and post 16 audiences. He will discuss what that means for higher education, including the potential for moving advertising and content into these uncharted channels.
Jessica Cook, a Careers Professional and consultant for UniTasterDays - On how to work with schools during the lockdown
Jessica Cook (AKA The Careers Lady) is a Level 6 qualified Careers Professional, currently providing support across five schools in Wiltshire, as well as consulting for UniTasterDays. Jess will discuss how to make your online university school and college liaison offering stand out to schools.
