Post-16 Talks and Workshops
Led by our team of experienced staff members, our wide range of talks and workshops help your students confidently decide their next steps and make a successful transition to university. We know that selecting a course, choosing a university, the application process and the prospect of leaving home can be difficult to navigate for many potential applicants, so we ensure our talks and workshops bring key deadlines and actions into sharp focus as they consider their options. These talks and workshops can be delivered virtually (live or pre-recorded), in your school or college, or as part of a campus visit.
Our most popular talks and workshops are listed below, but we are also able to tailor talks to meet the requirements and interests of your students:
- Choosing a course
- Why Leeds Beckett?
- UCAS Applications and Personal Statements
- University fees and finance
- Student Life
- Interview Skills
- Revision and study skills
- Making the most of Higher Education fairs and Open Days
As students consider their options, we know that visiting a university campus can be transformative for them: we want them to know that they can belong on campus and thrive at university.
Our campuses can host small and large groups of students for taster lectures and university tours, all with the aim of helping them make confident decisions about their progression to higher education.
As a university with a rich history of research-informed teaching and with around 150 courses offered at undergraduate level, our academics are in a strong position to stretch and challenge your students and to enhance your curriculum. We offer a range of talks and workshops linked to our academics’ specialist subjects that will illustrate the difference between post-16 and higher education, and also the wide range of career options available to graduates.
These talks are offered in the majority of our subject areas and, depending on availability and your location, can be delivered at your school or college. Visit our course pages for a full list of our courses.
