An overview of UWE Bristol

Choose to do university right

At UWE Bristol, we empower our students to make a choice. To choose a university that pushes itself as much as it pushes you. To choose a community that’s breaking boundaries and leading the way. To choose a passion that excites, delights and gives you purpose.

Teaching and learning

We offer almost 700 courses covering a vast range of subject areas, all of which are practice-based and designed to equip students for the real world. We work closely with over 10,000 national and international employer partners to make sure that our courses are up-to-the-minute, industry-relevant, and meet all the required professional standards. Visit our website for a full list of courses.

Facilities and learning environments

In recent years, we have invested over £300 million into our facilities. This ensures our learning spaces are cutting edge and give students access to industry-standard equipment across the University.

Excellent employability

91% of our graduates are in work or further study 15 months after graduation, placing UWE Bristol in the top 40 UK universities for positive graduate employment prospects (Graduate Outcome Survey results from 2019/20, published 2022).

Support services

We know that heading to university is a big deal. It’s our aim as a university to give students all the tools they need to succeed. Services and resources available include academic personal tutors, faculty support staff, Peer Assisted Learning (student-to-student support scheme), student support advisers and 24/7 wellbeing service.

Beyond the classroom

There’s much more to the UWE Bristol experience than just our courses. Music, sports, community projects, support networks, the list goes on. With over 160 societies and clubs to choose from, students are sure to find something great to get involved with, meet new people, and have fun.
