Should artificial intelligence (AI) determine who gets a mortgage? How might we intervene when algorithms go sexist? At this event you will encounter the Japanese LOVOT robot that runs on human emotions. You can test the ‘humanity’ of our specially designed UN/REAL Chat Bot. Our panel, consisting of a creative digital writer, a Chat Bot designer and writer Kate Pullinger, will ask difficult questions about the ethical ambiguities that AI support systems bring and pose questions about the prejudices built into AI. How is artificial intelligence (AI) changing our understanding of what it means to be human?

Parents and adults in the West Midlands with an interest in/need for care and other forms of support offered by AI and VR systems
