Full event details

We invite your students from years 10-13 to take part in a morning or afternoon session. Each session lasts 2 hours and 45 minutes and within this time your students will tour around several different activities.

Each tour will be guided by our very own students, and pre-designed - so all you have to worry about is arriving on time!

What are the activities?

TESLA: experience and view the latest electric cars and vans, learn how fast they can go, how much carbon they save and how to charge them up from the experts.

Investigating insulation: using a thermal imaging camera, discover how much heat buildings lose and maintain based on what they are made from.

Primary engineer: find out how your class group can take part in a national engineering competition with BIG rewards and speak to industry professionals from Ford and our own Engineering academic teams.

CPR: an insightful and informative session on CPR.

Amazing anatomy: models of anatomy – neuro, respiratory, MSK. The human body and how we rehabilitate it.

Build a virus and vaccine: get hands-on in our SuperLab with creating and destroying a virus!

Medical crime scenes: hands-on workshop with a number of crime scenes to investigate and identify the victim by comparing the fictional evidence to missing person information.

Please note, due to time constraints, you will rotate around three to four of the activities.

We may be able to offer financial assistance towards the cost of travel to and from the event. If you would like to find out if you're entitled to financial support, please email [email protected].
