Full event details

Thursday 6th October, 4:15pm - 5:15pm

Our Human Rights panel includes:

University of East Anglia: Dr Hazel Marsh, Associate Professor in Latin American Studies, School of Politics, Philosophy, Language and Communication Studies
Goldsmiths, University of London: Dr Lena Holzer, Lecturer in Law in the Department of Law

Our panel of academics will represent different disciplines from Goldsmiths, University of London and University of East Anglia. Each will have 5 minutes at the beginning of the session to outline the key issues, as they see them, relating to Human Rights.

Ahead of the event, we will invite students to submit questions and arguments via the Channel Talent website within the overall session theme which, following the introductory inputs from our academics, are then either posed by the student themselves or by the host, depending upon each student’s preference.

The academics will then share their perspectives with plenty of opportunity for students to engage in the discussion. The event will progress in a similar way to ‘Question Time’.

Woven into the discussion, the university academics are encouraged to shed light on how undergraduates engage in these critical issues during their studies.

Students are asked to consider the theme and discuss some of the key issues, prior to submitting questions and arguments for our panel to address live. These can be submitted via the Channel Talent website.

You can book onto this event as an individual (and access it from home or school/college) or you can make a group booking.
