Full event details

We are continuing our monthly mini-series of virtual events where you can hear first-hand from our world leading academics in Chemistry at Warwick on their research as well as life in the department.

In our next session, Professor Sebastien Perrier will discuss his passion for polymer science and how it covers a wide range of topics, from why we use glue to attach wings to planes, to how to cook an egg with liquid nitrogen, to the design of the next generation of vaccines.

Professor Sebastien Perrier grew up in France and moved to the UK to study his PhD in Polymer Chemistry at the University of Warwick. He then spent one year as Postdoctoral Fellow in Sydney at the University of New South Wales, before starting his independent academic career, first at the University of Leeds, then at the University of Sydney, before moving back to Warwick in 2014. Sebastien’s research focuses on polymers and materials, from their synthesis to their applications, both in materials science and for medical applications.
