Full event details

The Black Achievement Conference is a long-standing event organised by the LSE Widening Participation team since 2007. The half-day virtual conference is an opportunity to celebrate the UKs Black community, Black excellence at LSE and provide a taste of higher education whilst encouraging students to consider their options when progressing to university generally and LSE specifically.

The theme of this year’s conference is Black Futures with a particular focus on the academic pipeline and careers. Attendees will hear from current students, staff and alumni at LSE and learn more about their experiences.

Activities on the day will include
- an academic lecture
-a keynote address from an LSE Alum
-a talk from RARE recruitment
- a Q&A panel
- an admissions session

Students will gain more of an insight into university learning and the university application process with the aim of helping them to realise more of their potential.
