Full event details

Meet artists through creative challenges around MIMA’s galleries, hear from those passionate about learning, and connect with curators for short, sharp tours of exhibitions that bring together artworks, social history and the latest in material design. Professor Simon James was the Principal Investigator for the Durham Commission on Creativity and Education. A partnership between Arts Council England and Durham University, the Durham Commission investigated the benefits of teaching young people to be creative and to think creatively.

MIMA is an international art gallery and museum that connects art, people and ideas. A cultural and community hub, MIMA is powered by a vision to positively contribute to society. MIMA is part of Teesside University and leads the MIMA School of Art & Design.
