Join us on Wednesday 17th November from 2-4pm as Liam Owens, Director of Student Recruitment delivers an informative update on recent changes and developments in the Higher Education sector and at Edge Hill University. This online session is a must for those working in a Post-16 setting, who want to stay abreast of sector developments and support their students in HE decision making.

This will be followed by the following engaging CPD workshop session on Children’s Rights, delivered by Carol Robinson, Professor of Children’s Rights at Edge Hill University. The session description can be found below.

What are children’s rights and what implications do these have for practice when working with young people in schools and colleges?

This session will provide an introduction to children and young peoples’ rights. It is designed to support professionals working in school and college settings to understand the core principles which underpin articles within the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) – the most ratified human rights convention in the world, and provoke discussion around factors to consider when implementing these principles in practice. No previous knowledge of children/young peoples’ rights or the UNCRC is required.
