Led by Mollie Charge, Head of Admissions, this interactive workshop provides an introductory overview of UCAS, and the UCAS application timeline and application deadlines, before focusing closely on the personal statement.
We will explore why the personal statement is important, and will include top tips on how to write an effective statement that conveys your subject interest and enthusiasm, and differentiates you from other candidates. We will look at both structure and content, including super-curricular and extra-curricular activities, and will discuss the questions ‘What are Admissions tutors looking for?’, and ‘Why do I want to study this course?’
Incorporating quizzes and practical suggestions, and with ample time for Q&A, this session is ideal for students at all stages of the personal statement writing process – whether you’re starting out with your statement, or are revising and editing your final draft.
