Full event details

The course is for current and aspiring leaders in children’s and adult safeguarding practice, including statutory and non-statutory services in health, justice, education, sport and community sectors. It will challenge you to find ways to develop new cultures characterised by wise interpretation of information and experience, professionally challenge conventional practice and cultures so that learn how to make better rules to follow in safeguarding practice.

You may already recognise that much debate and discussion of culture change in safeguarding takes place in the corridors and car parks of professional workplaces. This course relocates those conversations to the heart of your learning experience. You will share ideas and expertise and concerns with others in order to generate the energy necessary to effect culture change.

You will enjoy a dynamic learning environment for current and aspiring leaders in children’s and adult safeguarding practice, including statutory and non-statutory services in health, justice, education, sport and community sectors. You will quickly develop new networks of practitioners who are keen to advance the field.

The course recognises you’re a busy professional and understands that your time and energy is limited. Its unique teaching and assessment design enables you to build a portfolio of leading cultures of continuous learning and safeguarding vigilance whilst also balancing work, life and study.

Virtual taster events – Autumn 2021

In these one-hour taster events, course leader Stuart Gallagher will explain the course’s vision, its purpose and philosophy. You’ll also have an opportunity to experience a taster of the course’s learning experience.

Taster events are scheduled at different times and on different days to make it as accessible as possible to busy people.

Each event follows a similar one-hour format.
