Students will make a piece of jewellery using traditional techniques, including
shaping, filing and soldering metal; techniques which have not changed in
hundreds of years. They will also be introduced to the wonderful world of
wearable art as jewellery through the exploration of materials, scale, wearability,
concept, techniques and technology. They can discover what makes a clock tick,
how clocks tell time, why they are designed the way they are, and what stops them
from working. Students will learn to tell the difference between rare and valuable
gemstones, common ones and even fakes through the study of ge
