Are you a Year 10 student curious about university but not sure what it involves? Our summer school offers you the chance to see what it is like to study at university, in particular a research-led institution like Birmingham. The Summer School is completely FREE to attend! You’ll take part in engaging and eye-opening subject sessions, social quizzes and games, hear more about what it’s like to be a student, as well as receive lots of tips and tricks to support you moving forward into Year 11.
You will be looked after throughout by our amazing student ambassadors who are all current students at the University. They will be on hand to guide you through the programme, talk about their experiences and, most importantly, answer any questions (big or small) you have about university.
University life isn’t just about studying – it’s about having lots of fun too! We’re sure you’ll enjoy your time on the virtual summer school and make lots of new friends. We’re also aiming to offer you a fun event on campus later in the year (if government and University coronavirus guidelines allow this) as we understand what a challenging time this has been.
The summer school offers you a great opportunity to grow in confidence, gain independence and make informed decisions about your future. We’ll make sure you leave the virtual summer school feeling motivated for whichever path you choose.
