Learning a foreign language opens up a portal into different countries and cultures, but learning about translation reveals the nuts and bolts of how communication between cultures actually happens in a globalised world. By studying translation, you will discover that it is not just turning a text from one language into another, but indeed a powerful tool. Translation is a creative, cultural and political activity. It is exciting and eye-opening, as it sits at the crossroads of disciplines such as linguistics, literary studies, politics and cultural studies. Are you intrigued by what hides behind the world of translation and why it matters in our hyperconnected societies? Then join us and learn about an ever-growing field of study and practice that will equip you with invaluable knowledge and skills.
