Full event details

At UWTSD we offer a range of Undergraduate and Postgraduate Environmental degrees including Environmental Conservation and Energy, Environmental Engineering, Conservation Management and Sustainable Construction.

The session will include a video presentation followed by a talk a with Q&A session from our experienced and friendly academics. The session is not only designed as a taster of our courses but an opportunity for your students to gain subject knowledge that can help with coursework.

Areas covered
1. Habitat management including contaminated soils
2. Coastal Landscapes
3. Water quality
4. Environmental Biology - dissecting owl pellets
5. Waste Management (Landfill) and Low Carbon Technologies
6. Freshwater Conservation- invertebrates

As part of the sessions, or as stand-alone, we can also offer talks from UWTSD Alumni students about their current professions, and student Ambassadors to offer a perspective on University life.

Suitable for Geography, Biology, triple/double science GCSE classes as well as AS & A2, (session can be amended to suit age/level of study).
