Join Essex in celebrating science, technology, engineering and maths during the 2021 British Science Week, run by the British Science Association.
This year’s theme is ‘Innovating for the future’. As the University of Essex is in the Top 20 UK universities for research excellence (REF 2014), we want to share our breakthrough studies and to inspire young bright minds.
We are therefore inviting you and your students to join us to explore 'How STEM research can better our life and environment'. There will be a wide range of pre-recorded webinars delivered by our world-class STEM researchers for you and your students to watch on demand. A programme will be available nearer to the event on our website.
We will be drawing experts from Mathematical Sciences, Life Sciences, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Sport, Rehabilitation and Exercise Sciences to show how science is applied in all aspects of our live. From understanding the human body, curing diseases, stopping climate change, inventing cutting edge technology to explore the unknown, we are taking you on a scientific adventure to understand how STEM helps to create a better world.
If you would be interested in bespoke live sessions for your school group, please do get in contact using
