Participate in activities around the arts including Stage Management and Applied Theatre, delivered by academics. Learn about the different career paths, from the unknown to the typical routes and what to study at university.

Full Event Details:

Date TBC. The Careers in Arts event introduces students to what options are available if they are interested in performing arts. Students will participate in sessions delivered by Royal Birmingham Conservatoire academics and students including stage management, costume design and applied theatre. Taking a closer look into what they could study at university and what their future could look like with an arts degree.

Students will get an insight of all the different careers from the unknown to the typical routes and have the opportunity to ask questions and gain advice from current students. The event includes a tour of the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. The session will also look at how studying a creative degree could differ from one they may already know about.

9, 10, 11, 12, 13

• Recognise and understand the full range of options available in Key Stage 4 and / or post 16 and HE (Aw 3.1)
• Recognise that HE is complex and competitive, offering learners great choice and requiring active and informed decision-making (Ap 3.1)

• Understand the finance support available whist attending HE (Aw 4.3)
