Chemical Engineers design chemical, pharmaceutical and food production processes and ensure that they are operated to maintain the desired product quality and production rate. You will be given a brief introduction to the process intention of the Fluor Pilot Plant, which we utilise in our teaching at Surrey, before being led through a series of scenarios that could occur on the plant, which you will investigate and resolve as an online group of up to six year 12s with the help of a member of staff. This session will give you a thorough introduction to the principles of chemical engineering and the skills required to be a practicing chemical engineer.

You must be in Year 12 and studying A-Level Maths and Chemistry or an equivalent qualification.
Slots will be filled on a first come, first served basis for those that meet our requirements.
