Do you want a taste of university life?

Uni Camp is a fantastic experience for year 12 & 13 students to find out about university life. Our University of Suffolk staff and team of current students will be able provide support and advice on your journey to university. The event will help you to get a better understanding of what student life is like and give you the tools you need to make the big decisions in the coming weeks and months.

Due to the ongoing situation with Covid-19, this year’s Uni Camp programme has been moved online.

When is Uni Camp?

Wednesday 5th August to Friday 7th August. Once registered, you will be able to attend any or all 3 days of the event. You will be provided with a schedule of sessions and can decide which you wish to participate in.

What is covered?

Everyday there will be workshops and sessions from the following areas:

Preparing for university (UCAS applications, writing a personal statement, finance etc.)
University life (Q&A with current students, student skills, life on campus etc.)
Academic courses (taster sessions with UOS lecturers, research skills, student experiences etc.)

Year 12 students with receive advice about the next steps to university and year 13 students will be able to find out more about their options this summer and how to make the most of clearing.

Our expert team of current students and staff will be on hand to answer your questions in all of the workshops and sessions.

Ongoing Support

All year 12 students who attend Uni Camp will have access to a support package from staff and students at the university during the 2020-21 academic year. Students will benefit from expert advice on university applications and personal statements as well as guidance from current students on what to look for and ask when considering courses and universities.

Who can apply?

University of Suffolk welcomes applicants who are currently in year 12 or 13 (or equivalent).

How do I take part?

Complete the registration form. You will receive an email to confirm your registration and a further email with the schedule and link to join Uni Camp nearer the time of the event. All of the workshops and sessions will be streamed live, and you will be able to ask questions and take part in interactive activities via chat, as part of a group or individually.
