The University of South Wales is delighted to offer a pilot online event for teachers and advisers on Tuesday 7 July.

The opening plenary will be delivered by Sarah Barr Miller, Head of Insights at UCAS, who will offer delegates further information regarding 2020 applicant behaviours. Sarah will also consider how the sector might look for those considering HE in 2021. The closing plenary session will be delivered by Mary Curnock Cook, Independent Educationalist and Former CEO of UCAS. Mary will draw on her wealth of experience in the sector to offer a candid view of the challenges faced by schools, colleges and universities during these extraordinary times.

The plenary sessions are complemented by broader topical discussions around; Remote Delivery, Degree Apprenticeships and Widening Participation. There are also critical updates on student finance arrangements, in addition to sessions on supporting students with a disability. Academic staff will also offer delegates the opportunity to enhance their knowledge of the courses and careers available within the Creative Industries, STEM, and Health Sciences.

Optional added extras include an informal ‘brunch’ discussion with Enquiries and Admissions, Student Ambassadors and the wider Student Recruitment Team and the chance to participate in an online Financial Trading Simulation, delivered by Accounting and Finance colleagues, with a number of prizes up for grabs!
