University of Reading Architecture Virtual Taster Day

The event has now reached its maximum capacity, but we are running a waiting list that you can join.

The studio will focus on the development of critical drawing and model making skills in a virtual environment. The sessions will be conducted in a webinar format, where instructors will run live demonstrations and allow for students to independently produce their work within a given format.
Day One: The day will be dedicated to drawing and learning how to use the sketchbook as a tool for documentation and analysis, and learn how to produce orthographic drawings.
Day Two: The day will be dedicated to learning about the art of model making and iterative design development. The studio will focus on concepts of space making through the construction of architectural sketch models using household items. The session will also encompass a lecture on the preparation of the architecture portfolio.

Since there will be a continuation of concept development and production, students are encouraged to sign up for both days.
