Full event details

The Cyber Girls First Virtual Event is for girls in Y7 & Y8.

It aims to demystify the idea that only boys can succeed in IT and point out that Chief Executives of companies around the country are desperate to recruit women into their cyber departments. We hope that by attending the event, more girls will be encouraged to take up these subjects at GCSE and beyond.

The event will consist of video talks from successful women in the fields of IT, cyber security and coding. Alongside this there will worksheets and activities which, upon completion, will allow students to enter a competition to win some great prizes. All resources will be sent out to teachers via email on Monday 1st June 2020, so they can share the resources with their students.

On Monday 15th June 2020, there will be a live Q&A session for students. The winner of the competition will also be announced on this date.
