A Live Q&A Session with our academic tutors David Harris and Ukonu Obasi on the impact that Covid-19 has had on the tourism industry across the UK.

An introduction to David Harris: I am the Academic Lead Tutor at Arden University’s Manchester campus. I deliver a range of Blended Learning Business modules, and I am also responsible for seven Distance Learning HND Travel and Tourism modules. I have been at the Manchester campus since its 2017 opening, and draw on my vast experience of vocational business and tourism experience from the industrial, retail, service, hospitality and transport sectors. Holding major qualifications in Economics, Business, Tourism and Sustainability, my goal is to enable students to prosper both during and after their time at Arden University by maximising their learning experience and expanding their personal, academic and vocational capabilities.

An introduction to Ukonu Obasi: "I have worked in the public health sector for many years. My experience include teaching health education and related subjects in further education institutions. Working with front line health staff to build capacity. I have delivered and commissioned Public Health services at local, regional and national level."

Institution Profile:

At Arden, we believe everyone, everywhere has the right to Higher Education. We've supported more than 50,000 students over 25 years and are experts in flexible UK Degrees, Master's and MBAs.

We offer career-focused online Distance Learning courses worldwide, as well as Blended Learning study at our study centres. Students can study in London at our Ealing, Tower Hill and Holborn study centres, or at our Birmingham, Manchester or Berlin study centres; and also have the opportunity to select when they want to learn: weekdays, evenings or weekends. Students then attend two classes a week at their chosen study centre (8 hours per week), combined with flexible online learning (17 hours per week).
Our study modes give the flexibility to work alongside study, meaning students can earn while they learn, build essential work experience, and save money. In addition, you’ll usually find our degrees priced lower than our competitors.

We have a wide range of courses available in the following subjects:
• Business & Management
• Computing & IT
• Criminology & Law
• Data Analytics
• Engineering
• Finance & Accounting
• Graphic Design
• Health & Social Care
• Human Resource Management
• Marketing
• Psychology & Sociology

Standard entry requirements for our undergraduate courses are two subjects at A-level or equivalent, plus three passes at grade C or above at GCSE level or equivalent.

Our flexible and supportive courses are often the start of a journey that sees our students break free of limitations, work hard and become the best they can be.
