Full Event Details:
This is a two hour-long practical workshop in Drawing which is delivered by a skilled practitioner from the Liverpool Hope University Fine Art teaching staff. This session is designed to aid correlation between a haptic response to various objects and the face which aims to create a direct response between tactile information and the conversion of this into simple mark making.
The workshop is framed in the art historical context of artists such as Cy Twombly and Paul Klee. Following on from a short presentation about these two artists, students will be invited to make drawings and paintings using wet and dry media. The work produced will consider fundamental questions of representation and notions of what drawing actually is.
